Huelva is the capital of the province of Huelva in the region of Andalusia, located in southwestern Spain. The city has been inhabited since 3000 BC by Tartessians, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs and finally conquered by King Alfonso X.
It has a population of 150,000 people and it's home to Recreativo de Huelva, the oldest football club in Spain, founded by the British Alexander Mackay and Robert Russell Ross in 1889.

Situated on the South coast of Spain, the Huelva's ferry terminal is located in the Exterior Port, in the town Palos de la Frontera. Huelva port facilities
The ferry dock is located in the Exterior Port (Puerto Exterior). There is a free bus service that will take you from the Exterior Port to Huelva city centre on arrival, and from Huelva to the Exterior Port for the departure.
The departure of the bus from the dock to the city is on Friday when the ferry arrives, and the departure from the city to the dock is on Saturday at 11AM from the Huelva bus station, platform number 23.
Getting to Huelva
Huelva is very well connected to the rest of Spain. It's only one hour away from Seville taking the motorway A-49.
