From Glasgow, take the A804 and join the M8. Follow the M8 and get off at Greenock Road/A8 in Renfrewshire. You can then follow the A8 and A770 to Tarbet St/A771 where you will find the ferry terminal.
Gourock train station is a 3 minute walk from the ferry terminal and offers direct connections to Glasgow with ScotsRail.
Gourock has long been a popular day trip destination for Glaswegians. The sandy beaches and the open air pool make for a convenient resort. The open air pool has been in Gourock since 1909 but has more recently undergone radical improvements and is now heated and attached to a large leisure centre.
